Yards, port calls, and vessels under a Turkish or foreign flag each put foreign personnel in Turkey for a different reason. BEST MAB covers shipyard personnel, crews on Turkish-flag and foreign-flag ships, and cargo ships, and separates a short repair visit from longer employment.

Shipyard personnel

Repair, newbuild, and riding squads bring welders, commissioners, and equipment technicians into the yard for a defined scope. When that scope is installation, maintenance, or commissioning, the file is often a short-term exemption or an assembly visa. A person hired into the yard for an ongoing role is planned as a long-term work permit instead.

Turkish-flag and foreign-flag vessels

The flag does not by itself choose the permit. A foreign specialist joining a Turkish-flag ship and a technician boarding a foreign-flag ship in a Turkish port can need different applications, depending on the work, the employer, and how long they stay. We read the assignment first, then the flag.

Cargo ships

A cargo call can be a few days of survey and repair, or a longer dry-docking with a foreign squad living ashore. Short, purpose-limited work points to E-Exemption or an AMS / Assembly Visa. Employment that continues past that call points to a long-term work permit and, later, its extension.

Send the yard or vessel, the flag, the roles, and the dates alongside. We will say which route fits before the squad travels.
